Scott Pepper, Founder of CCP said: "I remember when we were having Focus Groups way back before CCP even started, two scenarios kept coming up - One was local Security Guards being dubious about confronting Gypsys or Gangs in case of retribution and the second was Door Supervisors and Guards liking the idea of a couple of extra Hands on call if needed".
This bigger picture idea of Support Teams on hand has always been on the standard CCP Membership Agreement and we have structires/processes in place in readiness, however COVID 19 and associated Lockdown has meant many member premises have had to close and those who remain open have other priorities so these plans have been put on the back burner. In the meantime the flipside of Lockdown means that some SIA Registered Guards are not able to work in their usual premises, but woud still like to 'do something' to help our community.
With the above in mind CCP is continuing to coordinating 'Volunteer Crowd Marshalls', but now also a second group of volunteers under the banner of Tactical Support Team, who are responding to calls for help from Members and testing the reporting processes we have in place.
