What is the aim of CCP?
COUNTER CRIME PARTNERSHIP is a Shared Radio and Exclusion Zone community. The aim is to make our towns a secure environment to work, shop and enjoy ourselves.
Where does CCP operate?
Our hometown and flagship scheme is CLACTON-ON-SEA in Essex. The majority of our members are in the district of TENDRING. We also offer a fleet radio hire infrastructure and back-office management service, whereby other towns can benefit from our proven systems, processes and Control Room.
Who can join CCP?
Primarily our membership will be Bars, Hotels, Pubs and Retailers. Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensed individuals, who work in the geographical area are welcome to join CCP. Membership is extended to any business who is directly affected by retail crime and/or anti-social behaviour and any humanitarian organisation operating in our area.
How do we help each other?
We believe that prevention is better than cure so first and foremost Members will warn each other in real time, using CCP Radios, when we see known Offenders or if we have a Theft or Attempted Theft. Offenders tend to choose the path of least resistance, so are usually deterred from entering a premises where there is someone on the door holding a Radio.
CCP encourages Members to physically help each other on a safety in numbers basis.
Incidents will be recorded in our data system so the information might be translated to intelligence and disseminated back to members and/or the Police. Profiles will be accessible in our data system so if we hear a Name on the radio that we do not know, we will be able to look that person up.
We will identify offenders for each other through our data system.
Who are CCP Officers?
CCP is run by a team of volunteers, usually people who work for a CCP Member, who would like to donate some of their time to help CCP Members.
How will the CCP Team help you?
All channels are monitored simultaneously in the CCP Control Room by a Control Room Officer who can relay intelligence between channels as required, transfer users to 999, or merge local channels in the event of a major incident.
Our Control Room supports members by helping to manage an EXCLUSION ZONE that is compliant with this constitution and all of the latest data protection regulations.
